A quaint family run European style cafe that served delectable teas and scones. Tea was great and was complimented by the china it was served with. Scones were not overtly sweet though a little crumbly (this also could be due to the way I ate it) but are greatly supported by the jam and cream which is recommended. Service was excellent and friendly. If your wanting a nice cup of tea this is a great place to visit.

Stopped in as I was working down the street and asked about possible gluten free items. Imagine my surprise when the answer was lemon bars, spinach scones, blueberry scones and apple tarts! The spinach scone was absolutely amazing and I wish I lived closer as I would stop every day. I also ordered a chai latte that was freshly brewed and perfect! What a lovely lovely place with the friendliest owner!

I’ve been coming to Central Perc sporadically for about 20 years. It’s a neighborhood staple! It’s a casual “British Mom & Pop” establishment. You can come as plain or as dressy as you wish and you’ll fit right in. Do try some of their soups and other foods. I’ve “discovered” carrot and root soups which I would have thought would be unpleasant are now my favorites. Although, I must confess my attempts to make them at home have not been successful. Their afternoon tea is simple, casual & delicious! Especially for only $25! That price cannot be beat! They do run out, there are no RSVP as I’m aware a they’re typically set on the 2pm start time. Don’t come too early as you’ll likely be standing and waiting for a bit for afternoon tea. Dessert options in the display case change daily. You never know what will be there which makes for a great surprise. Just about everything is cooked/prepared to perfection in the little kitchen you can see. Remember to plan on paying with Venmo, cash or check as they do not take credit cards. It works for them and I’m very appreciative that they added Venmo a few years ago. There is a bank ATM in the neighborhood if needed. Central Perc reminds me o

This place was fantastic. I took my sister out for her birthday and we enjoyed a fabulous pot of white tea from the cutest teacups, the Café was packed with people when we got there, and the parking situation was a bit rough, but the service was so friendly and welcoming, and the croissants and marmalade my sister and I ordered were the best I'd ever had. We still talk about those croissants weeks later, and we're very excited to come back.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast here today. The atmosphere is full of British charm, right down to the fresh flowers at every table. One of the biggest highlights for me was the acoustics. I am hearing impaired, and often restaurants are too loud for me to converse comfortably. However, even when the cafe was completely full, the noise level was perfectly managed, and we could speak at a normal volume. It was such a relief to enjoy a meal without noise pollution. The food was excellent as well. My husband had the croissant breakfast sandwich and said it was the best he has ever had. I had the soft egg with wheat toast; while the egg was just a fraction over, it was still delicious and didn't detract from the meal at all. The coffee was fantastic (self-serve with free refills and different blends), and the prices are unbelievably reasonable for Oakwood. Note: They do not accept credit cards, but they do take Venmo, which was a convenient "tech win" for us. We can't wait to return for High Tea!
